Workshop Details for Bind Quilts by Machine
Learn to bind quilts entirely by machine and with no hand-stitching required. This workshop will up-end any previous notions about how best to bind a quilt quickly and with professional results.
In the 3-hour session, master Fuss-Free Binding, applied first to the back of the quilt and then stitched through all layers from the front of the quilt. Learn to miter perfect corners by controlling the starting and stopping points of stitching. Fold the corners with minimal bulk and without raising the machine needle. Learn all this and more, and do it without sewing a single stitch by hand!
In the 6-hour session, learn how to make both Fuss-Free Binding and Seamless Binding, binding with no seams between the mitered corners. Someday, you may want to bind a quilt with a solid color or a special fabric and have no seams breaking the smooth application of the binding. Seamless Binding will come in handy, then!
