Victoria Crystal Quilt Pattern
Victoria is a Crystal Quilt design, modified to simplify its construction and put greater emphasis on the central focal point. The pattern is for the complete quilt, exclusive of borders, and it does not include seam allowances. This quilt was featured, with detailed construction explanations, in American Quilters Society magazine.
Special Note: To print, use Adobe Acrobat Reader, set to Poster at 100%.
"Victoria 2" (pink and rust, 26" x 24"),beautifully executed in silk fabrics with Swarovski crystal embellishment, is extra special because of its lack of unnecessary seam lines. The V shapes and the border were cut as one piece of fabric, with the silk borders rolled over the backing to finish the quilt. Reverse appliqué was used to make the quilt top.
Add seam allowances to all patches and borders.
Find some special embellishment to enhance the central focal point. Make the center of your quilt more important by thoughtful quilting and perhaps some beading or other decorative additions.
Supplies needed to make this quilt top:
• Optional embellishments: beads, crystals, cording
• Small pieces of different colored fabrics to make the top
